“Why Is My Head Itching?” The 4-Step Relief Program!

No one talks about scalp care, but Kinly does! Before we get into details, it’s story time!

We have a friend who recently started the Curly Hair Method.

That means strict poo, low-poo, no poo days (poo is short for shampoo), hair brushes, styling techniques like raking, scrunch the crunch, and so on.

Some devoted followers may go up to a week without washing their hair, but our friend washed it every three days.

After three months: great curls, but an itchy, very itchy, scalp.

Time to visit the dermatologist.

Diagnosis: either dandruff or early-stage psoriasis… the scalp was not too inflamed, so the doctor couldn’t say just yet.

She went home with an anti-dandruff shampoo she bought at Kinlyand started taking care of her scalp separately from her curls.

Nothing wrong with the Curly Girl Method, it just meant she just needed to get to know her scalp better.

Why? Because when it’s overlooked, it may get flaky, itchy, oily and it may even cause hair loss.

If scalp care is a mystery to you, let’s start with a few derm-approved basics:

  1. Poo days: Wash your scalp as often as you require and use your fingertips to prevent your nails from scratching.
  2. Exfoliate: Once a week to deep cleanse and remove dirt and dirt cells.
  3. Serum: Skin will absorb nutrients for a healthy scalp!
  4. Scalp masks: A more intense solution

Bonus tip for our kin-pals, if discomfort continues, or something irritates your scalp, do as our friend did and visit your dermatologist.

Don’t know where to find them? We´re just around the corner!
